World Water Day in Tskaltubo

On March 22, on the occasion of World Water Day the Greens Movement of Georgia with participation of  local authorities organized a clean up action  has been conducted within the framework of the campaigns “Clean up Georgia” and “Blue Stream” in Tskaltubo. The action took place in the surroundings of Tsivi  lake.

Nearly 20 people took part in this event,  approximately  0.7 m3 of waste was collected and around 1.5 ha area  has been  cleaned up.

Tsivi lake clean up action has been conducted within the framework of the project “Clean Up Georgia” (Phase III)   and implemented by NGO  consortium Greens Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth Georgia, Georgian Society of  Nature Explorers “Orchis, “Ecological Awareness and Waste Management”  with financial support of Swedish Government and in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia and Solid Waste Management Company.
