We, the the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth-Georgia, categorically condemn the actions taken by the state against the local population and civil activists opposed to the construction of the Namakhvani HPP, and fully support all citizens who fight to protect their constitutional rights (Articles 9,14,21 of the Constitution).

 Solving the problem by force is unacceptable and unreasonable, and it is also unacceptable to implement such projects without informing the local population, the citizens of the country in general, and involving them in the decision-making process, which directly restricts the declared human rights.

 Based on the above, we request:

-Stop using violent methods against Rioni Valley guards, locals and civil activists; The state should protect human rights defined by national and international law;

-The problem should be solved in accordance with the interests of the local population and in accordance with the consensus;
